Ryan Reifschneider was raised on a grain and hog farm in St. Clair County, Illinois, near Belleville, where his family grew corn, soybeans and wheat. From a young age Ryan had dreams of becoming a farmer like his father and grandfather.
He received a B.S. Degree in Agricultural Economics with a concentration in farm management from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in May of 1999.
After graduation, Ryan moved to Smithfield, Virginia, and began his career with Smithfield Packaging Company where he managed the day-to-day operations of exports and sales of pork products to Japan and China.
Ryan acquired a diverse business and agricultural background before moving back to Illinois in 2001. He obtained his brokerage license and started working as a farm manager with Wells Fargo where he worked with a wide range of clientele from individual farm-owners to large investment companies. He managed 18,000 acres of farmland across Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Southern Michigan.
In 2008, Ryan moved back to his hometown so he could spend more time on the family farm and working as a farm manager for Regions Bank. While working at Regions, Ryan successfully grew and enhanced their farm management business and was awarded for being in the top 10% of producers for 7 out of the past 8 years. Ryan managed 25,000 acres of farmland for trust clients until 2022 when he had the opportunity to become an integral part of Field Level Agriculture, a company with dynamic leadership.
Ryan’s extensive contacts in the agricultural and banking industry are a great resource when listing properties for sale or building clients’ wealth through the purchase of farmland. Ryan has experience working with various types of real estate including farmland, commercial and recreational land.
When not meeting with clients and touring farmland he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Debra and their two dogs.
