Chris Dorsey, grew up in Winchester, Illinois and resides on the farm in Rural Winchester, IL with his wife, Nicole and their four children, Bronson, Case, Remi & Audri. He and his family are active on the farm today where they raise cattle & grain. In addition to Chris’ duties as a farmland appraiser and a real estate broker with Field Level Agriculture, Inc, he runs an insurance agency primarily focusing on insurance related to agriculture. Chris and his family are passionate about agriculture and feel fortunate to raise a family in the middle of it all.
In 2007, Chris received a B.A in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He originally began his career in agricultural accounting before moving back home to Winchester, IL to begin a career in insurance. Shortly after in 2013, Chris obtained his Illinois Real Estate Broker License to assist farmland owners with reaching their goals. In 2019, Chris started pursuing his appraisal license with intentions of serving the agricultural community with regards to their farmland appraisal needs whether that be providing appraisal services for estate purposes or valuing properties for ag financing.
Chris is currently an Illinois Licensed Insurance Agent, an Illinois Real Estate Broker & an Associate Real Estate Appraiser Trainee with Seth Baker as his Supervisory Appraiser. Chris is nearing the completion of his 3000 hours of appraisal experience to become a Certified General Appraiser.
